“I had a similar idea a while ago–very cool that someone has finally done it. These fins will be great for boat dives and beach entries. I always carry my fins and put them on in the water. With flipfins, I think I would walk from the car wearing them up, and on into the surf. And then float on my back until I’m ready to lock them in for the dive.”

“A very good friend of mine has an artificial leg, and every time we go on a trip he has to mess with getting his “leg” in the right position while floating on the surface, before his dive. I think this will REALLY help him with his problem! Great idea!”

“The primary advantage I see over fixed fins is that I will be able to pop in and out of the water, and just walk right up the ramp without having to take off my fins. If you know me, and I’m a BIG guy, that is a major advantage! Being able to get in and out of the surf or quarry without having to ‘back-in’ presents some interesting new safety concerns as well. I’ve lost count of the times I have seen student divers bang into each other! These new fins could change EVERYTHING!”

“I am usually so hot and exhausted by the time I actually get under water. My main struggles are in trying to squeeze my fins on last with so much weight already on my back from the rest of my gear. The waves always seem to fight the process. I would love to be able to simply walk into the water with my fins on, put on the rest of my equipment and descend. Sometimes I have to park away from the beach and carry all of my gear to the shore. It would be great to wear as much as I could to get there, especially when I don’t have shoes or sandals! It will also be great to wear my fins to avoid stones and other sharp objects as I enter the surf! I’m eagerly looking forward to receiving my first pair. I can’t wait to see everyone’s head turn as I walk past them!”

“I have personally dropped my uw camera or stumbled and fallen during shore entries and exits partly because I had to contend with fins in my hands. Anything that can reduce the task load for divers would be welcome and could reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to expensive equipment.”

“This fin will give other high-end fins a run for their money in the recreational dive market. I am also involved with search and rescue and divers will finally be able to conduct entry, such as jumping from a helicopter, with their fins on.”

“These fins will be perfect for instructors. During the dressing of students the instructor can be dressed and easily walk around among the students to help them. Between dive lessons he/she can organize everything easily without taking off the equipment! And in case of an accident or an emergency the instructor easily can get up on land and start CPR or call for help without taking off the equipment. For me, its perfect. I’m just waiting for this fins to come to Sweden.”

“Stability received walking or standing at a dive boat gate prior to jumping into the water is a definite advantage.”

“Outstanding design for a new fin. I was very impressed at how easy it is to lock and unlock them.”
